I was trying to change a lighbulb on the the front porch tonight. It was almost completely dark out, but with the little glow from the street lamp and my neighbors’ portch lights shining I just barely had enough light to see.
Now, I’m pretty handy around the house, but I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to open what I later learned is called a sconce. Our porch lamp is sort of a victorian/gothic/old-fashioned type covered with a mess of cobwebs. What’s more, I’m six foot (give or take) and it is positioned higher than my head! So, hard to see how it was connected.
Then I found this video on YouTube from user jakeguitar01 and after watching it I was finally able to change that darned lightbulb!
