Hey there folks!
Today I am doing some updates on the site. I’ve gone ahead and updated the software to version 4.0 so I guess we’ll see if it causes any issues. Also, I backed up my site. In case you are wondering how to do that, here was my process:
1) Tools>Export>Everything. This will result in an XML file.
2)Backup your database via phpMyAdmin in your web host’s control panel. This results in a SQL file.
3) Download your site folder to archive all your images and media, as well as actual web pages and articles. The result is a ZIP file.
Save the three files somewhere safe. It’s always a good idea to make redundant backups, meaning copy the files to more than one place and more than one media.
