Today so far
Today is my younger brother’s birthday, so I called an wished him a Happy Birthday. Since this is day 2 of easing back into eating from my fast, I ate a can of Amy’s Thai Coconut soup. It was delicious! I also spent about an hour or so adding images and creating image tags for yesterday’s post. I had to look up the difference between the “alt” tag and the “title” tag. The interesting thing I discovered was that when you hover over an image in Internet Explorer it displays the alt tag, but when you hover over the same image in Chrome or Firefox, it displays the title tag! Discrepancies anyone?
The two most important things I have to do today are
- Install MS Office (means I have to locate it in my Windows Live email)
- Change functioning of “F” function keys in BIOS so F5 will refresh pages.
Those are the two critical things.
If I have time and am not too exhausted (from fasting recovery), I may review some Lynda WordPress tutorials. Since I called HP yesterday and had a big hassle just getting them to agree to send me a “recovery kit” to send my HP Pavilion 17 that won’t shut down fully back to them for warranty repair, my current MOST IMPORTANT ORDER OF BUSINESS is transferring and backing up all my data from my HP laptop to my external hard drives. The second order of business is to Set this Dell up to have the same programs and setting as my HP, though I may even end up installing Windows XP on one of them for giggles.
1:46 PM
STRANGE: I just saw a black cat wag a snaky tail out of the corner/peripheral vision of my right eye. Only thing was, when I looked, there was nothing there but a couch. No cat running or hiding or anything. This will mark the 5th or 6th time I’ve seen the “Ghost Cat”.
Now I’m designing a spooky icon to use for custom css bullets
2:09 PM
About 5 minutes after I saw the ghost cat I started designing a custom bullet that would be a ghost in a circle. I designed the ghost and the circle in MS Paint, but then imported into Pixlr Editor (online) for further manipulation (layering, etc). This bullet will be used in conjunction with a <> tag, or something similar. Thing is, not sure how to get WordPress to translate that. Maybe I should just use something like classes, as in “class=strange” … perhaps that would be the better way to go? Further research is required on this matter. Here is a pic of what the bullet looks like currently.
2:18 PM
Just looked outside; it is pouring down rain!
Icon designed and finished!
2:37 PM
So, I just finished creating my icon, which means it took me about 1 hour to design, edit, and finalize. I would have liked to do a lot more, but I just need something to suffice until I can learn to make proper icons with no jaggies (perhaps after I learn Illustrator?). Here is the final version:

I’m going to take a break for now friends. I did not get to what I had planned to do. But, instead, I created something very cool (my icon) which I have shared with you! Until next time.
Love, light, and blessings.
